Ketter Girls

I guess we can't make boy babies. We just had the ultrasound and found out we are having a healthy baby girl. I have to admit I am excited to have all my girls sharing life together. I would have loved the joy of experiencing being a mother of a boy but God had other plans for me. Each of my girls has such different personality and I am amazed how parenting each one is so different already. So I am excited to know yet another entirely different personality. Brian is also excited for his 4th girl. I am lucky he does not get too sad with the thought of not having a boy. It makes it easier on me to not be too emotional.

The cousins are sad to not have a boy cousin to mentor and be friend. I have a few friend who I know were hoping for a little boy to play with their boys. Oh well. What can we do now? Hopefully we'll have a couple tom girls to play with.

Oh and now to start the list for another girl name. That will be the hard part.

The weekend went by too quickly! It is strange how that happens. We have been able to keep warm, surprisingly since we have no heater since 4 p.m on Thursday. Our gas fireplace does a nice job of heating the main part of the house and we have some radiant heaters to help in the bedrooms. We hope to get the part we need Monday to get our heater working again. Oh how nice that will be. We have been enjoying the ambiance of the fire in our living room and the girls like to sit and watch it in the morning as we huddle under blankets on the coach waiting for the room to warm up.

This weekend was filled with small Christmas activities. My parents and I took the girls to the Riordan Mansion for a craft and story time they put on. Audrey really enjoyed making a pine cone ornament that was covered with glitter and she had to shake a coffee can filled with glitter to make it. She thought that was the best part. Sabrina loved listening to all the stories and the carolers. They each met Santa and received a yummy candy cane. I forgot my camera but Nana took some photos, so I will share those later. It was a very cold and windy day though. The girls clung to us while outside afraid of blowing away. Later we did get some beautiful white snow which makes up for the wind.

We finally decorated the Christmas tree with Papa and what a relaxing time that is with 3 anxious little girls. The girls placed each ornament with care on the tree and then after they went to sleep Mama rearranged each ornament carefully to make the tree even out and move the fragile ones to the top. I am sure tree decorating will get easier but never as cute as it is now.

Today we went to a some close friends of my families home for dinner and to walk through the luminaries decorated in their neighborhood. It is always busy to take the girls to eat at a home that is "grandma type" and has inside dogs. My girls really do not prefer to have dogs the size of them in there face and sniffing them. So I get to carry Audrey and sometimes Sage to keep them high above the dogs and out of trouble. It was a very enjoyable dinner of homemade enchiladas, rice and beans made by my mother. We bundled up the kids and walked up the street to see the LIVE nativity scene in front of someones home. Audrey sang all the way back after hearing the christmas music at the nativity. Very precious. It was quite a chilly night so the walk was short and we loaded the van and to see the rest of the lights from the warmth of our van.

Now I am tired and not sure why I have not gone to bed yet? Oh yeah because I decided to write this. It is addicting. I am sure I will be thankful I wrote down some of these memories because I notice I forget too many these days.

Hubby is home!!

Brian is home after a successful hunt today. We will now have a freezer full of elk soon. I am just thankful to go to bed earlier and to a not so cold bed.

Today Tata & Nana came over and we decorated the house for Christmas. Our living room is now beautifully lit with Christmas lights. The girls enjoyed helping Tata put together the Christmas tree the most. I am not sure I have heard my Dad talk this much in a long time. Those little girls sure can create conversation. What a blessing to have family to make these memories with.

I am learing how to post photos so hear is another photo from Mexico.

I am up way to late playing on my new blog. I don't like to go to bed when my husband is not home, my bed is much colder and less inviting so I end up staying up way too late doing random things, of course not all the chores that need to be done. It makes no sense to stay up late because I am the only one who will greet my three beautiful little girls bright and early tomorrow morning.

Around here I am getting back in the groove of life after a great long trip to Mexico for Thanksgiving. The girls are adjusting to everyday life with just mom and not the many entertainers that were with us for a week in Mexico. Family is a wonderful thing but girls get used to all the attention fast and are shocked back into reality when we return home and they don't come with us.

I hope to post some more photos from our wonderful time in Mexico. It was beautiful weather and very relaxing. The girls love the never ending sand box and sea shells. The food was amazing as usual with my family and I have to prepare very little of it which is the best part!
